Makhani received his Master of Science degree in Entomology from University of Sind, Indo-subcontinent in 1970, and a Diploma in Public Administration and Agricultural and Economic courses from Wascana Institute of Applied Art and Sciences in Regina, Canada. He has 36 years of experience in the professional pest management industry, starting with SC Johnson Wax Professional/PCO Canada in 1978. He transferred in 1994 to manage the Western Region of the United States, and at various times held the positions of Technician, Supervisor, QA Manager, Operations Manager, and District Manager before becoming Regional Manager, where his responsibilities included a region of 28 U.S. states, including Hawaii and Alaska. Joining Western Exterminator Company in 2004, Makhani helps train pest professionals, performs quality assurance inspections, finds pest solutions for customers and service professionals, identifies insect specimens, and is a problem solver. He is a member of the Entomological Society of America, the Pest Control Operators of California, and the National Environmental Health Association.
